The Republic of Ireland has 13 MEPs today.
The Republic of Ireland had 11 MEPs when the UK had 87, Scotland had only 6.
An Independent Scotland would have 14.

@Newareopagitica @europarl_en @UKHouseofLords The United Kingdom had 13 times the population of the Republic of Ireland and yet ROI had 11 MEPs while the UK had only 8 times more MEPs.
England has 10 times the population of Scotland, 9 times the number of MPs.
Smaller countries have better representation in the EU.

@Newareopagitica @europarl_en @UKHouseofLords And of course, this is getting worse with the review of UK Parliament constituencies. Scotland has been allocated 57 constituencies for the 2023 Review, two less than at present. England has been allocated 543 (+10).
