Ever get the sense that we're governed by fools? Who'd want to work for these truth twisters and party animals?

RT by @catherinerowett: People working are in poverty! People working are living in perpetual stress. Because we allow exploitation and in your case, you seem to condone it. Millions of pointless products on our shelves, plastic tat galore, whilst our environment is depleted and poisoned. Our bodies.

Re @RishiSunak Will they be like those beds in the empty Nightingale Hospitals who had neither nurses nor doctors to staff them or are you intending to overload the already overloaded existing staff by giving them more patients to care for?

New beds? Where are the staff? If you don't pay doctors and nurses a wage you can live on, the beds will be empty, however many you buy. You can't put a patient in a bed on an unstaffed ward.

We just observed the hottest month globally on record. This is how all the Julys since 1880 stack up.
The 8 hottest Julys on record (for global average temperature) have all occurred in the last 8 years since 2016.
No time to waste.

Below inflation wage-settlements widely presented in the media as if they were rises. Since when did journalists just trot out the propaganda of a failing government?

Why on earth are all you doctors and nurses allowing this man to come into your hospitals pretending to care about your patients?

The government’s announcements this morning as part of their ongoing “NHS week” have mostly further convinced people that someone apart from the current lot should be running the NHS instead.

Dear Mr Hunt, if inflation is falling "because of a fall in energy prices" then it's not because your stupid interest rates are working. It's happening for reasons entirely beyond your control. And interest rates are still making things impossible for many people.

Re And yes, prices are still going up, not down, and food was already too expensive in June. July has made it worse, not better. (Your monthly reminder).

So there's been a fall in headline inflation. What did it? Falling food prices? No they're still rising fast. Fall in housing costs? No, rents & mortgages are shooting up. Low wage rises? No, average wages rose. The government? No, they did nothing to help. What then?

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/catherinerowe

Re The answer? Time has passed since the extreme energy prices.
So despite all prices rising, they're not rising quite as fast as when the fossil fuel clique decided it needed more money for stuff it gets out of the ground for us to kill the planet with.

Re @carolynrroberts @EDP24 .@TheGreenParty would end shareholder payouts until sewage discharges are stopped, forcing water companies to invest in upgrading our crumbling sewage infrastructure. We would then bring water companies into public hands to ensure they are run for public good, not private profit.
