Highest tax burden on working people ever. Poorest public services and benefits since, I dunno, before WWII. Lowest wages and highest in work benefits (ever?) relative to cost of living. How do they think cutting taxes and benefits will help this? Why not make work pay instead?

No, people don't want money off their bills (since that'll just add money to the bills for everyone anyway). People want sensible long term infrastructure in the right place and a strategy for future connections. The current plan for pylons is chaotic and ill thought out.

If you want cheaper electricity, you can get it by having solar panels. We could also have community energy schemes. Pylons don't make cheaper energy.
Govt should never have slowed the development of local and onshore renewable energy schemes, solar on roofs and onshore wind.

There are some emergencies we face. Climate change, the state of the NHS, poverty and long term sickness, an aging and unhealthy population. Getting one or two refugees assessed in Rwanda is not urgent or important, nor useful in any way at all. The emergency is stopping it.
