@Stuarty771 @linkcott18 @carltonreid Oxford seem to be using 15 minute zones for their congestion charge. The only thing that has in common with 15 minute cities or 15 minute neighbourhoods is the word 15 minutes.
A congestion charge zone is a stick. A is a carrot.
Totally different method.

Dear ministers, strikes in the are good for no one. No one's going on strike for fun. No one thinks strikes are good for the NHS. You need to solve the problem, not blame the people complaining about it.
We're with the workers.

@Donaldzki1 @Otto_English @SidMcGrath1 @PerrinAybaraAM @BurnsideNew No. Don't use right wing media or conspiracy mongers at all. Read proper stuff that's not there to make you angry about imaginary threats so you don't call out the removal of your rights and protections, the destruction of your freedoms and access to justice.

@SidMcGrath1 @Donaldzki1 @PerrinAybaraAM @BurnsideNew @Otto_English Your freedom to travel is not under threat. The idea is to make it easier and free, for everyone. Better than you have now. We live in a dystopia that you can't imagine being freed from.

@SidMcGrath1 @Donaldzki1 @PerrinAybaraAM @BurnsideNew @Otto_English Well your "information", wherever you got it, is a tissue of lies so I suggest you ask a prof. to teach you how to do research using reliable sources. And pipe down till you've found out what a 15 minute city is and how it enhances freedom and opportunities for residents.

RT @davidrvetter: I wonder how many of these anti-low traffic protesters thought to themselves, "you know what? with no vehicles on the road this walkable city is really rather pleasant"

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/catherinerowe

@alexphoenixwing I think Oxford may have caused this problem by pretending their congestion charge is a 15 minute city plan. It's quite the opposite, though perhaps they mean to provide a planning scheme to accompany the congestion charge?

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/catherinerowe

@linkcott18 @carltonreid It looks to me as though Oxford council have caused the confusion by trying to promote a congestion charge that has 15 minute neighbourhoods as its units of control and is accompanied by fines and surveillance. Nothing to do with 15 minute cities. 😥

RT @slowbikeiain: Stories about 15-minute cities being prison camps are nonsense, but car-centric planning over the last 100 years has led to children's freedom being massively reduced. There was no public debate and no vote. It just happened. Let's get back what's been taken from us.

@Aylmer51 @Donaldzki1 @PerrinAybaraAM @BurnsideNew @Otto_English What councils do you have in mind and are you talking about congestion charges or low traffic neighbourhoods or 15 minute cities? People have been deliberately muddling these up but they are completely different.

@SidMcGrath1 @Donaldzki1 @PerrinAybaraAM @BurnsideNew @Otto_English You got your "information" from GBNews? Whereas I got it from actually knowing what I'm talking about it. Who's naive and taken in by lies? 🤣👀

RT @BethanAngharadL: Putting the blame on struggling parents really isn’t the answer. Once Labour had ideas but now they are just a Tory party tribute act.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/catherinerowe

@ElectriCheese @Otto_English @Donaldzki1 @PerrinAybaraAM @BurnsideNew It appears that people are confusing the Oxford congestion charge with 15 minute cities. This is not helpful. One is a congestion charge. The other is a way of planning cities so people don't need cars. Objections to congestion charges/fines are arguments *for* 15 minute cities.
