Don't be deceived by "falling inflation" reports.
For (i) inflation is still huge and prices are rising far faster than wages. And (ii) the fall is in fuel, restaurants and hotels. Useless for helping the poor. 😢
Food inflation is still *16.7%*!🙄

What's needed is a better turnout not voter suppression which makes elections unsafe and unrepresentative (far worse than the vanishingly small risk of a few fraudulent votes (for which there's no evidence).

It will make it harder for the young, the poor and those who struggle to get organised or plan ahead. It'll disadvantage women of ethnic minorities. Posh Tories who apply for postal votes & have passports will be fine.

@Nordfolcian @StuartAndrew There's no evidence of this kind of fraud. It is a much smaller problem than voter exclusion and suppression (to which this policy will contribute massively). The current registration system is already leaving many people off the register.
