RT by @catherinerowett: Rishi Sunak made about £2.3m in 2022/23 and paid £520k tax. About a 23% effective tax rate.

What devious planning did he use to pay so little tax? Absolutely none 1/3

It was clear from the start that Netenyahu was planning to erase the Palestinians from Gaza. He's been stringing it out by forcing the population to flee and flee again until there's nowhere left to go. And when is the UK going to say officially we don't support it?

RT by @catherinerowett: £1.7trillion piled onto the national debt in 14 years, to achieve absolutely nothing.
NHS on its knees,
One million children in destitution,
Malnutrition, Rickets and Scurvy,
Hundreds of thousands homeless,
Public services failing,
Rampant corruption.

Communities and voters need to understand the consequences of not planning for a just transition to a green economy and zero carbon homes and transport.
Think of Thatcher and the mining towns.
Think of a country left behind, cold, hungry and deskilled.

They've brought 4.5 million more people into taxation, yet services are crumbling, because prosperity, equality and good public services go together.
Low pay, high inflation, high interest, high taxes on middle earners, & deprivation across urban & rural deserts ruin the economy.

RT by @catherinerowett: Just been on @Channel4News with @cathynewman talking about Labour announcing it’s new position on green funding. The dramatic shift in the state of the economy is the reason given, for the dramatic cut to the £28 billion pledge. But we need to remember that borrowing for investment is not a bad thing to do, on the contrary - it’s how businesses & economies grow. We just have to choose the right things to invest in and it’s not fossil fuels..:)

To do this properly would cost more than £28bn p.a, but it'd be money well spent, offering a step towards a fairer greener happier future for everyone. But will they invest enough? Or will corrupt media suggest it costs "too much"?
We know what costs too much.
Red/blue austerity.

RT by @catherinerowett: There is frightening ignorance about how this will alter our societies. With most making the wholly unrealistic assumption, that our societies and civilization will just be much like they are, just a bit tattier and frayed at the edges. This is utterly unrealistic.

RT by @catherinerowett: Every £ spent on energy security generates far greater returns from lower prices to increased exports and productivity. Labour should focus the narrative on that instead of promising a lump of cash to be spent.

Do we really think no one is studying this? It's more that the media are not interested in reporting it and the politicians tell their nonsense into the voting public's ears.
