RT by @catherinerowett: So this vile passes 320 to 276 and takes a wrecking ball to international law, showcasing a dying government degrading our democratic processes and vilifying some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Britain is better than this

R to @catherinerowett: What do we learn from this?
Wages need to rise to match the cost of real life things people need.
Brexit was bad for all of us and a scam for the tax avoiders.
Greener policies would deliver a better life, and more affordable. Cutting the green crap isn't helpful.

I can't understand why
nitter.cz/search?q=%23ironing
is the most loathed chore. It's my all time favourite.
It's warm, quiet, clean, satisfying, you can talk to other people or listen to the wireless while you do it. And then you have a lovely pile of smart folded clothes, and the family looks nice.

Jeremy Hunt, happy to increase fossil fuel extraction, causing irreversible damage to the poorest people in the world.
But if the drilling is in his constituency, oh no, that's not what we want because it isn't pretty, and you need to win votes eh?
We see a hypocritical nimby.

RT by @catherinerowett: Liz Truss says she hates handouts.

So why is she collecting her £125,000 a year ex-PM pension, for the shortest, worst ever premiership?

She even said she wouldn't collect it.

But of course she did.

Inflation fail for Rishi Sunak who thought he could win on that by doing absolutely nothing. And if fuel prices are falling that means the things people in actual poverty have to buy are going up faster even than before.
No food or clothes for the hungry 😢

For me , an apology is what you do when you make a mistake , do something accidentally.

This was no accident.

RT by @catherinerowett: It’s difficult to know what more to say on their Rwanda anti migrant plot. All the information is there, the sheer unprecedented madness of it, the expense, the cruelty, the futility.

It now just comes down to how much of a howling racist you are.

RT by @catherinerowett: ITV kicks off a special prog with "Trump has just won a sweeping victory in Iowa". Sweeping! The reality is he beat several unpopular rivals on a small number of votes cast by registered Republicans. Stand by for lots more of this guff.

RT by @catherinerowett: In October, the Crown Court backlog hit a new record high of more than 65,000 cases

If he can pull 150 judges out of thin air to deal with anything to do with the Rwanda Plan, then why couldn’t he do this months ago to deal with a backlog of tens of thousands??

RT by @catherinerowett: Just stop and think about it. The government are proposing they delay an already overwhelmed justice system, accepting all the horrors and danger that entails…

So they can be cruel to a vulnerable minority. Just because.

And we discuss it like it’s normal.

RT by @catherinerowett: How did Sunak become Chancellor? He's awful with public money - he gives £3bn to a Norwegian energy company for Rosebank & now pumps £400m of public money into a scheme enriching private owners. Are Teesworks a way to shift public money to private hands? bit.ly/48U9qnz

RT by @catherinerowett: The 3 million individuals and businesses entirely or largely excluded from government Covid-19 financial was yet another scandalous injustice. Innocent, hardworking people excluded from financial support even though HMRC had their tax returns.

Many self-employed who lost their livelihoods, homes, some their lives - all abandoned by Rishi Sunak.

RT by @catherinerowett: The highest taxation ever and the roads aren't fixed, the NHS is on its knees, police funding cut, social care is a kind of neglect, foodbanks at an all time high.
Why? Because austerity doesn't save money. It costs the economy more. And privatisation leeches the money out.

RT by @catherinerowett: Another idiotic thing: if you measure success by GDP then the effect of record numbers of potholes is economic growth. All the work done by the AA, recovery firms, motor repairs, new wheels & tyres, higher insurance premiums, physio for injuries. All this = "growth" & "jobs" 🙄
