RT @TheGreenParty: 🚨 "The Government is trying to bring in something that the House of Lords has already thrown out."

@GreenJennyJones has tabled a fatal motion in the Lords to stop the Government's unprecedented power grab but Labour peers haven't yet committed to backing it 👇 t.co/7uYCXewR8Q

@PaulbernalUK @DavidHorlock6 @StuG2022 Well don't get an i phone then. The earpods are environmentally gross and can't be repaired or recycled.

RT @StuG2022: @PaulbernalUK Wireless ear pieces - a needless expense compared to the wired ones that come with the phone. This is a terribly middle class distraction.

RT @BestForBritain: As with Hunt last week claiming the plan is working on reducing national debt, even though it increased and Sunak yesterday claiming the plan is working on small boat crossings, Barclay today claims that record waiting lists and missing his target means "our plan is working". ~AA t.co/a9i3mXc9Wu

Just 16250 have signed the ECHR petition. Need many more. Braverman's plans are an affront to all who contributed to the defeat of fascism in ww2.
17 days since the petition reached 10k - still no govt response. Why not? petition.parliament.uk/petitio t.co/E07HsZZV4R

@EssexWomble @GreenPartyMolly @Ferretgrove Exactly. I can't think why we let newspapers continue this practice which would be regarded as completely unacceptable on our own social media spaces.

Yes well, there's a surprise.
£2bn spent on useless schemes designed by councils without regard to objections and feedback from cycling organisations and pedestrians.
And why spend only £2bn when the saving to the NHS from getting this right would be much bigger?

@GreenPartyMolly @Ferretgrove Also no newspapers should be having the kind of intrusive "journalism" that we see in the column on the right of this disgusting front page.
Our newspapers are a disgrace.

Useful sequence of well informed tweets from the excellent Lord Dubs. Read (and share) the whole set...
RT @AlfDubs: @KayBurley May I correct some inaccuracies?
It is not illegal to seek asylum, however you arrive in a country. There are no "illegal routes" for asylum seekers (Refugee Convention 1951, which we signed) (1/4)

No one should be deported for peaceful protest, especially when they are on the right side of history and the government is leading us into the frying pan

In fact no one should be I prison for this.

@PoppyinFinchley I'd love it if you were right: I'm not trying to defend something you would disagree with. I just don't hold out much hope of the result being anything other than utter disaster. Our food security situation is already dire, and war and climate change will make that worse.

Vote 2 - another swingeing defeat for the government on parliamentary scrutiny

@PoppyinFinchley A tiny minority of people will give up meat because of this. Do you know anyone who isn't already reducing their meat for health and environmental reasons who would do so because of this, if the supermarket has this kind of meat looking just like the usual thing? And cheaper?

RT @docrussjackson: "Democracy fails when your press fails to scrutinise and hold the government accountable, and instead choose to get into bed with them so they can ensure the status quo."

Harry's criticism, also alleged that the police & government were "scared" to hold the press accountable. t.co/RU95S1GQcw

@PoppyinFinchley No. Rewilding while importing factory farmed industrial agriculture food is not improving the planet or health. Some of us would buy proper food from France or or other regulated places at great expense. Most people would buy and eat cheap unhealthy factory farmed imports.
