RT @TheGreenParty: 🎙️ "People are calling for fresh voices to get elected..."

@ZackPolanski on people's desire to elect even more local, hard-working Green councillors across the country on 4 May ⬇️

RT @marcuschown: How come the British embassy staff have been evacuated from Sudan, leaving 2-4000 British nationals.
Surely, the embassy staff should be helping everyone else to leave? I thought the captain of a sinking ship is supposed to be last to leave the ship?

This is ridiculous. The man could walk or use the underground train.
What is his problem?
That he has no democratic legitimacy perhaps?
RT @Christo30459949: Anyone else feel a bit uncomfortable with this? t.co/qEML2DR7qY

RT @cambsforeurope: What we learned from yesterday's Parliamentary debate on a public inquiry into the impact of Brexit is that Brexiters really, really don't want us to talk about Brexit.

So let's keep talking about !

RT @ToryFibs: I prefer the Green Party’s £70 billion wealth tax policy to Starmer’s ‘freeze energy bills at record high’ policy.

It just seems a fairer way to move forward to tax the super rich than expect those in fuel poverty to grim and bear it.

@westontiger2005 @CarolineLucas @TheGreenParty @euromove Greens don't want those opt outs. We need to be part of a generous project not a mean one. We were a bad penny.

For Labour leadership, even talking of rejoining EU is seen as anti-democratic. @TheGreenParty says loud & clear: if rejoining is right for our economy, environment, workers' rights, public services & more, we should do so when time & conditions are right @euromove

RT @Sillyshib: Please join me in thanking our dear friends and neighbours in France and President @EmmanuelMacron for helping evacuate British citizens from Sudan

You find out who your real friends are in a crisis ❤️

@DavidRobjant Though even staying outside schengen should not have prevented this. They do passport checks on the night train from France to Italy (I've had them recently) and they used to do them on the sleeper trains in my youth. You just pause at a border post and do the passports on board.

RT @GreeningWyndham: Excellent workshop with @RupertRead & @catherinerowett this evening in Wymondham discussing how we can prepare for climate change.

Great ideas from local people including setting up a community hub.

Thanks to all participants.

@DavidRobjant If the journey's already 8 hours or more, there's less value in adding hours, and you need to recognise that from London to Holyhead is relatively quick. It's unlikely that there'd be much uptake from there whereas joining points across East Anglia would be valuable.

RT @Ross_Greer: Alister Jack has misled the House of Commons

I've written to @CommonsSpeaker to raise the issue of Mr Jack's categorically untrue statements regarding the Scottish Government's bottle/can Deposit Return Scheme

@DavidRobjant Or actually, revise that. Probably simpler if everyone boards at either Harwich, Manningtree, Ely or Peterborough, rather than bringing separate coaches from Norwich and Cambridge. Then we can just divide the train to two destinations in Wales. Coming back we'd link two trains.

@DavidRobjant One coach each from Norwich, Harwich, Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough, hitch together at Peterborough to make a single train, reaches Holyhead at breakfast time. But ideally we'd want twice as many coaches, so as to split it and send some down the Aberystwyth line.

@rachelbbridge All the cross country routes need bigger, longer, more frequent trains with proper facilities. It's a disgrace. But the 8-12 hour trip from Norwich to the West coast is crying out for an overnight train so you could wake up fresh in God's own country 😍

RT @XRebellionUK: Politicians love fossil fuel money that works for them. Do you trust them to do the right thing for us and for the planet?

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/catherinerowe

It would be good if there was a sleeper train from Norwich to Holyhead. And Norwich to Aberystwyth.

If Rishi Sunak were running a government focused on integrity and decent standards in public life, he would have written to Dominic Raab thanking him for doing the right thing by resigning, and advising him to go on a course for learning about management and leadership style.
