Things I look for, :
• Decent pay rises for public sector
• Fully funded child care, to pay for proper staffing levels, well-paid workers, the hours parents actually need
• Solving home & workplace energy bills w/out throwing public funds to fossil fuel profits

@matt_saunders_ @GreenPartyMolly @taliskimberley @TheGreenParty Yes, important for ensuring that highly skilled professionals can continue to work f/t caring for the patients and in other professions. But we also need to pay enough to other public sector workers, the teachers, junior doctors, nurses and lecturers.
Low pay, low prosperity.

@littlegreydog3 No they haven't. They have increased economic migration which comes by regular routes to fill jobs in nursing and the care sector etc. Immigration has risen enormously since Brexit because Tories keep wages too low and training too costly.

Odd, given that Theresa May was the architect of the hostile environment.
But I welcome and commend those who realise their mistakes and correct them.
RT @lewis_goodall: Theresa May: "The UK has always welcomed those who are fleeing persecution regardless of whether they've come through a safe and legal route. By definition someone who is fleeing for their life will not be able to access a legal route."

RT @matt_saunders_: @GreenPartyMolly @taliskimberley @TheGreenParty This is a sop to senior doctors to try to keep them in the NHS because at later stages of their career it is no longer worthwhile to work. It’s complex but this in itself will actually help with retention. Now junior doctors please!

RT @CarolineLucas: The Home Secretary, on the face of this Bill, invites Parliament to rip up international law. The only act of a Parliament that has any kind of moral integrity is to rip up her illegal & immoral Bill, which has no place on our statute book. @JCWI_UK

Truly and cruelly bonkers.
Every metre travelled by walking or cycling saves money on the NHS and in sick days off work.
Economically this is illiterate.
But the Tories want the votes of a far right group that's lobbying on behalf of motorists in Chelsea tractors?

RT @SimonLennane: The economic benefits of active travel are unarguable, worth £36.5bn to the UK economy in 2021, with potential healthcare savings of ~£17bn. Investing in active travel pays for itself many times over (ROI ~ 11 ie each £1 spent gives £11 back). mdpi.com/1660-4601/15/5/962
