Doom prophets who say it'll be hard to persuade 🇪🇺 to take us back need to understand that the hatred's only on our side. But we must stop trashing our wonderful legacy of protections & laws inherited from 🇪🇺 membership. We're making it hard, not them.

As @TheGreenParty MP @CarolineLucas told Environment Minister Therese Coffey. there's no point touting an environmental improvement plan but in the same week approving neonicotinoids which we know kill bees 👇

Just imagine if we had a right to a dividend from the revenue of our North Sea oil, and from the revenue of our offshore wind farms! 🍃
(King Charles is right to give some of that revenue to the country, but it better as a UBI, not a gift to Tory criminals in the Treasury.)

@PetrocTrelawny @BBCRadio3 So lovely to hear the bilingual songs and translations. The translators are brilliant and it's fantastic to hear them celebrated. The cult of original language lost us a lot of this wonderful art.

We need to have the water works in public ownership and not for profit, with strict standards and scrutiny, and sack the managers if they fail to deal with overflow issues. Maintain crucial infrastructure from the public purse, not from customer bills. And not by private tender.

We need to end the high standing charges, which mean that people who use very little water pay more per unit than the profligate. With precious resources it should never be cheaper to use more.

Shell £32 billion profit for extortionate prices. NHS short of a few bob to treat the poor and pay the nurses.
Workers unable to pay their rent, and working long hours till they're old to pay for heating.
Join the dots.
Should have got off oil years ago.

Water bills going up by 7.5% but water companies are still allowed to pump shit into the rivers? We need to take back control. Why should we pay for shitty water treatment? Where's our money going? Into the pockets of the mismanagers and their shareholders. We must end this scam.

RT @safepassageuk: The report shows that most of those crossing the Channel are people fleeing war-torn or oppressive countries, where no safe and formal routes exist

This is in contrast to those fleeing the war in Ukraine, with no Ukrainians being forced to cross the channel by small boat.
