She killed the Queen. She killed the economy. She killed the Conservative Party. Then she waltzed off leaving her twisted podium as a symbol of twisted power. Ever feel you live in a dystopian fiction?

We need a government of national unity led by MPs who have majority support. That is, not the Tories but the Greens, SNP, Labour, Liberal Democrats. Most people didn't vote for the charlatans we have in power. Let the Conservatives have a minority of posts in cabinet.

@JolyonMaugham They should say yes, do that. It would earn a wee bit of respect from us. They have no democratic legitimacy when they know we would vote them out if we were given the chance.

RT @catherinerowett: "Mistakes were made" is what you get if you raise a generation wrongly taught to avoid the first person singular in essays:
to pretend that none of the views discussed is their own opinion;
as though nothing they believe is up for judgement, as right or wrong.

@ScythianUnborne @ZackPolanski You underestimate the effect on voting practices and on the Labour coalition.

RT @ZackPolanski: The chaos continues.

Very striking Tory MPs talking about how bad this is for party - but little regard for country.

It's awful that Keir Starmer is still supporting our broken voting system that facilitates all of this.

We badly need Proportional Representation.

RT @BarbaraGSerra: Heaven knows Italy is riddled with problems, but as a Britalian I find this Economist cover offensive.

The arrogance that led to the leap in the dark that was Brexit and the utter chaos that followed was very, very British.

@NedNedNed94 @iris_mansi @DanielaNadj You yourself correctly state the principle. But you're not prepared to hear about a period when they did that and it was good as it has never been good since? ?t=V1tBwPL-OgA7EV53Qf5grg&s=19
RT @NedNedNed94: When anyone in a position of responsibility is deciding policy changes, the only question they should be asking is "does this change make for a better, fairer society?"

Who has engineered a coup in the UK without the consent of the people or Parliament?

Look at this stunning and inspirational thread. If only we could have sane governance that gave us living streets.
RT @createstreets: Ever heard of Toulouse as a city centre whose improved street design is revolutionising local prosperity?

It’s not normally lauded as a case study. But quality of the street design is staggering. The results are stunning. Literally no empty shops in town centre. How? A short 🧵
