Look at their voting record not the colour of their skin to see what they stand for.
What would I like to see?
Real openness to the refugees and asylum seekers, of all colours and religions. Genuine inclusivity, commitment to BLM, and to a woke agenda. Some hope!

Equally they often seek to roll back hard won rights for other underprivileged groups, including workers, women and the lgbtq+ community. This article is about Priti Patel, but let's not be any more enthused by the new cabinet!

This might look superficially progressive, but in reality these elite ethnic minority ministers often hold the least progressive views, and work to exclude the immigrants who are in need of the warm welcome that their very own parents once received.

We should beware of celebrating the misleading appearance of diversity and inclusion when ethnic minority people are appointed to positions of high office.

RT @BBCLauraKT: BREAKING: Suella Braverman is set to move quickly to withdraw the UK from the ECHR. This is because the evil she has planned is totally illegal under European and international law. Are you afraid yet? x

RT @carla_denyer: What the country's top climate scientists are saying is the same as what @TheGreenParty is saying:

The solutions to the energy price crisis and the climate crisis are THE SAME SOLUTIONS. More renewables. More insulation. Less fossil fuels. Pronto. t.co/mQQJXgAneZ

Let's make it "former member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip", shall we? Not fit to serve, criminal in public office, needs to go.
RT @PippaCrerar: It’s official…

@EmilyKerr36 @quermitdenker It should do already. The failure to fit proper wooden shutters is already leaving us with much greater problems in heat waves than we need to have.

@TheOldGit1 @helenmallam His hill will very soon be taken from him for fracking. He'll discover what rights he has then. Like in the enclosures... It doesn't help much being an English peasant does it?

@CmdrSpace So no, your options aren't right. We don't have to pay these high prices (they're inflated on renewables as if the renewables were gas) and we don't have to repay the subsidies. It must come back from where it's going, which is the pockets of the FF lobbyists. There's a surprise!

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@CmdrSpace Any subsidies should be paid back by windfall tax on the excessive profits being made by fossil fuel extraction companies and their shareholders (which is where the tax payer subsidies are ending up). Taxpayers should not be funding these gross profits and then paying the bill.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@CmdrSpace Renewable electricity should not be distributed at the price it would have if it were generated using gas. Lower prices should be passed on to consumers. OfGem is mad.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@CmdrSpace There are several other solutions that should be in the mix. Not price caps but graded grants that target those least able to cut back, but incentivise energy reduction in the rich and profligate. Cutting VAT off renewable energy so that those who have green tariffs pay less.

RT @Daisydewdrop18: As @trussliz forms her Cabinet of Horrors, one can't help wondering why its ok to handing £bns to oil / energy companies to get prices down, but not to nationalise them so that the people get the benefit...? 🤔🤔🤔
