Yikes! How to declare to everyone that you have zero judgement, zero grasp of our predicament, and are part of the problem.
RT @VotePursglove: It's done! Proud to have voted to continue our record of delivery on the issues that matter to people in - cost of living, keeping our streets safe, controlling our borders and growing the economy. @TrussLiz will govern with integrity, leadership & vision.

RT @BeckettUnite: Scottish Water is proof nationalisation of water works.

English Water is proof privatisation of water does not work.

RT @jfoulis3gmailc1: @SueSuezep Tories sell everything, they’d sell their mothers for a couple of quid. They’re running out of things to sell hence charter cities 🤬🤬🤬

RT @CarolineRussell: Right decision at last.

But utterly wrong that women, protesting the deception, kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard by a SERVING police officer, were arrested at the vigil, prosecuted under Covid laws, and had to fight against criminalisation by the Met all this time.

@howard_green @StopSizewellC Realism is that this is not a viable option, is not an affordable option and is not a sustainable option. We can't have a future such as you envisage. We have to have a future in which less energy is required and less is better. A better lifestyle.

@StopSizewellC 2 swimming pools per day. 10k people per day. You think it's OK to take their water, or take the water from the farmers? We don't have enough for the people we already have.

RT @StopSizewellC: New water-guzzling nuclear plants are coming. Fresh water, not to be confused with seawater for cooling.

@comptableavelo @Tesco @sainsburys @waitrose @asda @EoECoop @TheCoopLive @coopuk I see that a fair number of supermarkets have halted sales. But really they need to stop selling them for ever. They are always dangerous, and they are also environmentally problematic. BBC News - Co-op joins rivals in dropping disposable barbecues

@comptableavelo @Tesco @sainsburys @waitrose @asda @EoECoop @TheCoopLive @coopuk Ah that's the twitter handle I should have tagged, by the looks of things. Thanks 👍🏻

While this is obviously shocking and distressing, it is also worth noticing that it is a real problem for the Conservative Party. As if it wasn't already a problem that the leader is picked by a very small and unrepresentative sample of the real electorate.
RT @BBCPolitics: Overseas Conservative Party members get a vote in the contest to pick the next prime minister, even if they don't have British citizenship or the right to v…

Is your local shop still selling disposable barbecues? Have you asked them why?
Perhaps @Tesco @sainsburys @waitrose @Asda @EoECoop @TheCoopLive might like to comment on what they are doing to prevent the purchase of wildfire hazards in the UK?

RT @BedfordGreens: @greenbenali @trussliz @TheGreenParty It’s almost as if she *wants* to exacerbate droughts. She knows how much water fracking uses, for example, & how much water it pollutes, right…? …

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

RT @greenbenali: There’s drought, heatwaves & what is @trussliz’s plan?

- Cut green levies
- Back fracking
- Cut aid for tackling climate crisis
- Oppose solar farms
- Increase North Sea fossil fuels
- Clamp down on climate protestors

It’s a Climate Emergency. We need more @TheGreenParty MPs

Promising tax cuts is attractive to ignorant and well-to-do Tory members, who think they don't want to pay for services or benefits for others. It can't solve a crisis that requires the state to fund services and financial assistance for those who pay little to no tax.
RT @Spottydog_: Which ever way she tries to spin it, Liz Truss is just going round and round…

Saving people £1 a week in tax? Fuck off!

RT @JamesSurowiecki: This should be obvious. If a president declassifies and writes down the country's nuclear secrets and names of all its covert agents at 11:59 am on 1/20, the fact that the info is declassified doesn't mean it'd be legal for him to take that document home after leaving office.

RT @BicycleLobby: 1. Not everyone can drive.

2. Plenty of people who others think can’t bike actually can given safe infrastructure.

3. Fewer cars makes things better for the people who need to drive.

4. Building a railway right through an ancient woodland or chalk stream.
5. Building a nuclear power station on a heritage coastline.
6. Expanding an airport or building a new runway.
7. A Brexit that leaves fruit unpicked and pigs gassed to death for lack of abattoir workers.
