While useful if you didn't realise it was just as quick to walk as take the underground, this map (which is not new news) misses what you usually need most, which is the time it takes to walk to a nearby station on a DIFFERENT line. metro.co.uk/2022/06/20/london- via @MetroUK

RT @ZackPolanski: It's been 2.5 years since Question Time had @TheGreenParty leader on (Dec 2019.)

UKIPs Deputy Leader appeared 10 times.

A Green Deputy Leader has never even been on once.

Yet there's as many Green councillors as UKIP had at their peak!

I'm glad to see that eventually the parliamentary Labour Party has remembered that it supports wrokers' rights and wages and that it gets out on picket lines when government is eroding these things.

@CllrAlexCatt Oh, you need to have an official birthday on another day, Alex. Let's celebrate when you are better!

An utter scandal...A kind of stealing, imposed on energy companies by Ofgem, to mend a previous problem they never corrected, as companies borrowed from dd customers. Customers should get their money back, but they shouldn't pay for the debts of companies they were never with.
RT @BBCBusiness: Ofgem blamed as supplier failures lead to higher energy bills bbc.com/news/business-61881981

RT @premnsikka: Ofgem says it will end the direct debit energy scam. Will it?
Suppliers raid customer bank accounts.
Credit balances are not ring-fenced & are used by suppliers.
Credit balances owed by bankrupt companies are collected via a levy on customers.
This is the price of privatisation.

RT @RMTunion: Sorry we missed you at the annual Tory summer party last night @grantshapps
It seems the only way to get the Government round the table is to bung them £120,000. Bit rich for us so how about a cup of tea and a bacon bap?
DM us, yeah?

RT @Otto_English: No look worse than the sneering Tory hot take that some rail workers earn £44k. It's a line positively dripping with contempt and reveals that for all the talk of levelling up, the government really believes that working people should be paid a pittance. And be grateful for it.

For fifty years we've needed to insulate houses, but successive governments have failed to do so.
Attempts to introduce Greener investment in Britain has been scuppered by a shortage of suitably skilled tradespeople.

RT @Taj_Ali1: Why is the media so out of touch with working-class communities? Because the profession itself is so socially exclusive. Just 7% of Brits are privately educated yet 43% of the 100 most influential news editors & broadcasters and 44% of newspaper columnists went to private schools

Tory MP Michelle Donelan: Absolutely not

Donelan: You're trying to detract from the main issue

The Conservative party seem mighty confused about who's in power.
We've had Tories running the country since well before the last General Election, and look where it's got us. Tory Britain is corrupted with filthy greed at the top but falling wages in all the essential jobs.

@JeffJam55719546 @TheGreenParty And then you'll see why we need railways that are affordable and safe and with regular trains and enough staff so as not to grind to a halt just when you need them. The strike is to ensure that we have exactly that.
