... and the excellent European Court of Human Rights that Britain established after the war, to prevent that kind of evil ever occurring again? 2/4

Isn't it just appalling that the only times when we whoop with joy and celebrate "good news" is when what's happened is that our government's efforts to behave disgracefully have been successfully thwarted by honourable citizens, benevolent lawyers... 1/4

If you have a look at inflation across the world you'll see it's not due to the bank of England. Stop falling for ideological lies.
Wages for all but the super rich need to rise to match, and by higher rates at the lowest end of the scale. Pay freezes will make it worse.

Don't be conned by bogus arguments for austerity and wage restraint. Have you been persuaded that inflation has gone up because of money fed into the economy? That's false. taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2022/0

RT @adampeter2011: The ECHR is NOT an EU court. It's a fully independent court which was set up after WWII - by the British with British lawyers and judges at Winston Churchill's behest to protect citizens from cruel and inhumane treatments by despotic governments within continental Europe.

"All the safe and legal routes that are open to them"??? The man can't stop . And leaving the Council of Europe? That would be a betrayal of everything, including Churchill's legacy and decades of work by Britain to build a safe world for everyone in post war Europe.
RT @JohnOBrennan2: Given the announcement of the ECtHR decision, is Boris Johnson really going to have 🇬🇧 follow Russia out of Council of Europe? That would …

RT @ZackPolanski: Every year that we've walked silently to Grenfell, there's more questions.

How can it be 5 years on and people are still living in unsafe cladding.

72 people have died & as we mourn the victims not a single person has been charged.

Yet inequality deepens even more.

RT @Jonathan_Elmer: The removal of animal welfare requirements from Gov is INDEFENSIBLE.
It is opposed by farmers who will now be at a competitive disadvantage to overseas producers.
We need a full explanation from Gov as to why this was done. @jamieoliver

Precisely. Agreements are agreements. You can't expect a friendship to continue with a person you can't trust and who just decides their promises were too much trouble to bother keeping. I'm with the EU here and deeply ashamed of my rotten country and its corrupt govt.

RT @AlexanderHorne1: I have made my position clear often enough on the question of the UK’s breach of international law. However - for the sake of completeness - one cannot rely on a domestic statute to cure the breach of an international obligation. Anyone who contends otherwise is a grifter. /3

The Home Office misread their own report and led themselves to believe that Rwanda was a safe place and then somehow they accidentally spun some lies about the role of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Rwanda, in the letters to asylum seekers.
What kind of country are we?

I think it must be this. Rwanda is happy to have a tranche of young able bodied highly educated and professional men, which is what we shall send them. And they'll be happy not to have to house displaced women, children, the traumatised, the elderly. Those they will send here.
RT @zenity_st: @mulcs85 @JolyonMaugham @TUIUK @ukhomeoffice I still have not seen anyone give a reasonable explanation as to why Rwanda seeks to send vu…
