Let's have this kind of mandate in the UK too! If only we got it automatically 🫤
Will @uniofeastanglia be putting solar on the roof of the refurbished teaching wall? A massive opportunity..
And if only we could get EU money to support the solar on every village church project...

Johnson seems to be very much in favour of dishing out public money to private companies run by friends, and raising taxes on workers to their highest levels. A kind of redistribution of wealth from the productive workers to the unproductive idlers who fund the Tory party.

RT @Beany_1: @lewis_goodall @eiraj2107 So in essence what he’s saying is he’s in favour of increasing taxes on working people, but not companies who are absolutely raking it in through no fault/extra work of their own.

But the chancellor Rishi Sunak is one of the super rich. He looks after himself, his family and his super rich friends.
Do they feel threatened by the idea of letting others be paid for work and not taxed into poverty on that pay? Or have they lost all sense of proportion?

What's wrong is inequality and huge amounts of money in the wrong hands (especially government contracts worth billions). Meanwhile those who work are paid a pittance, propped up by benefits designed to keep them in permanent gruelling poverty.

RT @CarolineLucas: Govt has underspent its net zero budget by staggering quarter of a billion pounds, when that spending – on retrofit revolution to deliver lower bills, green jobs & warm homes – is what people need now to deal with rising fuel poverty

Shameful incompetence & dereliction of duty

People receiving their £150 "rebate" must surely notice that it's too little: fuel and food bills are going up by 1000s. A government who gives too little, in the wrong way, to the wrong people, for the wrong reasons; because they're unwilling to do what we know they should do.
