@ChrisJHutch74 Staff shortages are becoming a serious problem. Food prices and energy prices are spiralling. The NHS is short of staff in every part of the country. Your working class person can get a good public sector job at a wage rate that won't cover the basic costs of feeding a family.

@ChrisJHutch74 Meanwhile our farmers have to comply with stringent checks while theirs can export to us and undercut with impunity. We were supposed to be able to raise standards and set better health & welfare standards (badly needed in some continental farming) but that requires borders.

@ChrisJHutch74 The vets are furious. We're open to the introduction of destructive animal disease and a serious risk of plant/seed imports that'll introduce destructive diseases or invasive species. It's a disaster for 🇬🇧 and for 🇬🇧 farmers.
