RT @greenbenali: I'm proud of @GreenJennyJones and @natalieben fighting to the end against the Nationality and Borders Bill

Labour's abstaining shows Keir Starmer's party values

RT @carla_denyer: @UKLabour @TheGreenParty @natalieben @GreenJennyJones Just 35 out of a possible 167 Labour peers voted to support Baroness Chakrabarti's amendment, meaning that the Government successfully rejected it by a margin of 55 votes.

This is what the @UNHCRUK has to say about the passing:

RT @ZackPolanski: A Universal Basic Income & a huge investment in renewable energy would go a long way to tackle the cost of living crisis.

At the end of our BBC debate, final question is what immediate changes @TheGreenParty would make to improve peoples lives?

Here's my answer in 40 seconds,

RT @uk_domain_names: - Mandatory voter IDs
- Electoral Commission stripped of independence
- Removal of the right to protest

3 things that happened because Labour allowed them to happen. They ran away in the HoL.

The Tories might as well win the next election because the Opposition is no better.

@ChrisJHutch74 Staff shortages are becoming a serious problem. Food prices and energy prices are spiralling. The NHS is short of staff in every part of the country. Your working class person can get a good public sector job at a wage rate that won't cover the basic costs of feeding a family.

I'm envious of their commitment to the rule of law and the eradication of corruption, European cooperation and environmental responsibility. If only we had even one of those things here among our UK leaders. 😭

RT @DavidHenigUK: Continuing to argue about the origins of the Northern Ireland Protocol does rather obscure the fact that this government signed an international treaty which it sought to overrule within a few months, and is still trying to do 18 months later, and that can't be a success.

@ChrisJHutch74 The sole reason for Brexit was to gain some advantages while losing others. We are currently gaining none while losing all of them. A lose lose situation.

@ChrisJHutch74 Meanwhile our farmers have to comply with stringent checks while theirs can export to us and undercut with impunity. We were supposed to be able to raise standards and set better health & welfare standards (badly needed in some continental farming) but that requires borders.

@ChrisJHutch74 The vets are furious. We're open to the introduction of destructive animal disease and a serious risk of plant/seed imports that'll introduce destructive diseases or invasive species. It's a disaster for 🇬🇧 and for 🇬🇧 farmers.

RT @BritishVets: ❗ Following this morning's announcement, we've issued a statement strongly criticizing the Government’s decision to scrap the planned introduction of checks on animals and animal products coming into the UK from 1 July 2022.

Read our statement.

Dear , well done for choosing Green. We are so envious. One day we'll build in the UK a state with happy satisfied people, which belongs to the European world. You are so lucky to have that already.
RT @DritanAbazovic: We're buliding a state with happy and satisfied people, which belongs to the 'European world' 🌍 🙋‍♀️ 🙋

RT @benjamincohen: I love how @NadineDorries justifies privatising Channel 4 by claiming that Channel 5 was privatised 3 to 5 years ago. Channel 5 launched in 1997 as a private business as a result of a franchise auction but I guess you couldn’t expect the Culture Secretary to know this 🤷‍♀️

RT @CREACleanAir: How we replace the imports matters, because reducing consumption will have a far greater impact on Russia than just re-arranging trade flows. And the benefits for the economy, health and climate will be far larger.

RT @CREACleanAir: Our recommendations to all governments and fossil fuel buyers: End all purchases and transshipments from Russia. Enact sizable tariffs during any transition period. Create a plan to replace all imports from Russia with clean energy and increasing energy efficiency.

RT @Tom___Scott: I think we'd see the same if @CarolineLucas & other leading Greens were in government in the UK. We"d be a very different country & a much better one.
