@TomFranklin Yes, the printed volume, which will appear as a book, will surely be better value. Maybe recommend it for your public library?

This paper of mine has now appeared, and can be accessed here (in a fantastic volume with interesting proposals by fellow philosophers for how to make the world a better place):

RT @aandywilson1: @catherinerowett I think that Tory governments, or their advisors and overlords, do understand economics but wilfully mismanage and disinform to their own nefarious ends

RT @GreenJennyJones: Why would our Govt try to close almost all legal routes for refugees? And break international law doing it?

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

The trouble with Tory governments is that they don't actually understand economics. Public utilities *are* an investment. Selling them means they become some private investors' investment. It doesn't help the public finances. It worsens them, and reduces national security.

@RWarboys @Kate_Arno It's a way of wrecking good things and getting them into the hands of their pals for asset stripping.

RT @Kate_Arno: Channel 4 does not cost the public any money. It’s profitable. It supports an independent TV production industry across the UK. It nurtures new talent. It invests in investigative & foreign journalism like no other. C4 is an asset to the UK. There is no good reason to privatise.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

RT @RhonddaBryant: Selling @Channel4 would be economically illiterate, culturally devastating and a hammer blow to the independent production industry. Selling it saves no taxpayer money, it harms creative diversity and undermines a great British export. It’s vandalism.

@geoff19542 @grahambsi @JulieCuninghame @UKLabour @LibDems @TheGreenParty If everyone voted for the ones who support PR we'd get rid of the Tories right now and never have them in power again. It's the most important thing. And it's much simpler than working out which party is closer. Just look at which PR party is stronger and everyone go for that.

£50??

These people need to understand what the rule of law means!

This is distressing. The thread as a whole is informative.
RT @panyiszabolcs: 3/ Sunday’s election pushed Hungarian politics deep into populist right-wing and far-right territory, a real time travel back to the 1930s/40s from the perspective of our parliament. Out of 199 MEPs, we’ll have 135 Fidesz, 9 Jobbik & 7 Our Homeland MEPs. That’s 76% right-wing.

@grahambsi @JulieCuninghame @UKLabour @LibDems @TheGreenParty If everyone who cares about GTTO voted for a party that stands for proportional representation, that would deliver a massive change in the complexion of local government and send a clear message to the backward looking parties.
