RT by @StevensHelga: We are preparing for tomorrow's European Council leaders' meeting. It will be important to express gratitude to all of our partners while also consolidating forces in order for this year to proceed in the manner that Ukraine and all of Europe require. We will set the priorities.

Global contradictions are too obvious. And the longer the conditional "camp of democracies" is unable to answer the fundamental question of "what to do with Russia?" the more confident the conditional "alliance of instability" becomes. And this answer presupposes a completely different approach to the war in Eastern Europe, which is already underway, to the supply of weapons on the battlefield, to investments in general military production, to new approaches in information warfare.
It is not only Russia, Iran and North Korea that are aggressively provoking the global world order and breaking the rules. Radicals, ultra-right and terrorist organizations of different scales and different territorial affiliation are actively interfering in the agenda. They are clearly trying to raise the stakes, having smelled the blood of the same democracies, and to play big....
Conclusion?
Just to watch is not an option. You cannot look away. Stubbornly not looking up will not work. Postponing decision-making for "tomorrow" (for future political elites) will not work. It will not work to keep the problem bureaucratically quiet. Everything is gradually coming to the point that it is necessary to solve it "here and now". In Ukraine, first of all...

RT by @StevensHelga: 1)"Defeat Russia" and 2)"ensure post-war lasting peace" are two separate goals, both need to be realized through Ukraine war. So Ukraine war is truly a global war and the world should work together, to reach these goals.

RT by @StevensHelga: As a full member of NATO, Ukraine will be able to significantly enhance the Alliance's potential. Our army has invaluable experience in defending against Russian aggression.

Today, I met with @AndersFoghR, the Rasmussen Global Chairman and NATO Secretary General from 2009 to 2014.

I thanked him for his assistance in drafting the Kyiv Security Compact, which served as the foundation for the G7 Vilnius Declaration and envisioned significant security commitments. We have already achieved the first results on this path.

RT by @StevensHelga: If you ask me, the dismissal of General Zaluzhny would be, of course, a massive shot not only in the leg but also in the head, right there.

Zaluzhny has his reputation as an iron general and the national Salvator, the embodiment of the Ukrainian armed forces that saved this country against an enemy as fearsome as Russia.

Zaluzhny personally has the support of 88% of Ukrainians. 97% of Ukrainians trust the armed forces under his command.

The state of the 1-million-strong armed forces are far from ideal under Zaluzhny's command, he has had his setbacks in this war.

Yet, General Zaluzhny is a true national hero today. It's a fact.

And, of course, Zelensky and the presidential office know this very well.

So yeah, Zelensky may be jealous of his top general's glory (I personally don't buy this media-driven 'rivalry' for 'future elections' though).

Of course, there is still a ramble between politicians and generals over who's to blame for Ukraine's unsuccessful 2023 campaign and the present state of things.

The presidential office maybe even thinking about having someone who does not shine way too bright next to Zelensky, for quite a long time.

I'm pretty sure they'd love to - but they can't afford that. Zaluzhny is now too big to get kicked out.

It's a shot in the head. The apocalyptic rampage that is taking place now amid rumors on Telegram is just a walk in the park compared to what would be happening if Zelensky really signs a dismissal order.

That's the system somewhat balancing itself in a country where public opinion is vivid and fierce enough.

Not today, IMHO.

RT by @StevensHelga: This is a horrible article, full of disinformation and untruths. It paints a false picture of the mood, both in Ukraine and in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

With three members of my family in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I KNOW. With family members living bare kilometers from the front lines in Krynky, I KNOW.

This article lies.

The question is... WHY does it lie?

RT by @StevensHelga: Ukrainian Border Guard Oleksandr Zarva, who spent 21 months in Russian captivity, told about the conditions of imprisonment of Ukrainian defenders.

"Surgery without anesthesia: they cut my leg, cleaned it, sewed it back together, and that was it. We stayed there until April 25, it was Easter, and on the second day of Easter we were taken to the detention center. And there the "most fun" began: beatings, torture, humiliation. I have never seen such cruelty to people. I don't know what we did to them in this life, although they claim: "We are Slavic peoples, we should be friends." I don't know what we did to them that they set dogs on us and beat us. It was unbearable torture," the border guard said.

According to him, the captives were fed potato peels. In prison, they were fed porridge and "something liquid," but in limited quantities.

"When I was captured, I weighed 115 kg, and in just a few months, I lost 45 kg," Zarva said.

In the summer, prisoners were taken for walks, and later, they were allowed to read books, but all of them were propaganda.

According to him, the Russians assured the POWs that almost all of Ukraine had been captured.

Because of his reluctance to follow the Russians' orders, he had to write a "note to be shot" twice.

Recently, Oleksandr returned home. But his father wasn't able to greet his son - he died earlier.

Oleksandr says he plans to continue serving after treatment.
