RT by @StevensHelga: As you celebrate Christmas in your peaceful homes, please spare a thought for Ukrainian soldiers defending Europe from an evil empire. Many of them haven't seen their families for a very long time and will spend this Christmas in trenches, holding the line. Eternal gratitude 🙏

RT by @StevensHelga: 🕯 Junior sergeant Vitaly Rus died on July 26, 2023 near Bakhmut. He was 24 years old.
Vitaly lived in Kharkiv Oblast. He was an electrician by profession.
During the full-scale war, the man fought in the 92nd OMBr.
"He was a very cheerful and positive person. He loved Ukraine and did not want the enemy to be on our land. I longed for a peaceful sky and peace," said beloved Victoria.
Vitaly's mother, sister and girlfriend were waiting at home.
On this day, our thoughts are with the families who lost a loved one.
Glory to the hero 🇺🇦

RT by @StevensHelga: 🕯️ As the world basks in the glow of Christmas cheer, I find myself wandering through the less-traveled paths of thought. Amidst the bright lights and joyous songs, there’s a silent acknowledgment of the darker shades that color our existence.
This holiday season, while we cherish the laughter and warmth, let us also embrace the shadows that have shaped us. The trials, the struggles, the unseen battles fought silently - these too are part of our journey.
In the flickering candlelight, let’s acknowledge the full spectrum of our experiences. May this Christmas bring not just superficial joy, but also a deeper understanding and acceptance of life’s complex tapestry.
Merry Christmas, from a place of profound reflection, where even in the darkest of nights, we find glimmers of hope and resilience

RT by @StevensHelga: “Dad is no more, cats are no more, house is no more—I lost everything.” This is the somber reality for a daughter in Kherson, whose life was torn apart by the ruthless precision of conflict. A single strike extinguished the light of her family, turning her sanctuary into ruins, and stripping away the joy of companionship from both human and pets alike.
What remains in the wake of such devastation? A grave that stands as a testament to a life once filled with warmth, now cold in its absence. Memories linger, bittersweet and haunting, as the only bridge to a past now out of reach. This is the true cost of war—not in the currency of nations, but in the currency of the human spirit.
In her voice, there’s a resonant silence that speaks volumes of the occupation’s merciless grip.
This post is more than a story—it’s a call to witness the depth of loss war brings to the innocent. It’s a reminder that behind every headline are human beings whose worlds are forever altered. Let us listen, let us acknowledge, and let us hold space for those who have had everything taken from them, except their courage to face another day.

RT by @StevensHelga: So many of you know that I do in fact have a Ukrainian girlfriend. I met her on Lviv's Telegram News channel. Then we originally started talking because she wanted to practice English online, then she wanted to meet to practice, then we started a relationship.
From my experience with Julia I can tell you:
She doesn't want to leave Ukraine. Not all women do. Many Ukrainian men send their families abroad for protection. Trains are full of Ukrainian women and children who travel back and forth from Poland to Ukraine, or Hungary to Ukraine and make the trip almost every weekend.
I asked Julia after we began our relationship if she wanted to leave Ukraine, because at this point it's not about me, it's about her and her daughter. She said no, so we're staying here.
Now that we're in a relationship she knows how much I make, yet she has never once asked me for money, nor has she ever asked me to buy her something.
The only thing she wants out of our relationship is the same thing anybody would want out of a relationship; honesty, respect, and loyalty.
So please don't try to stereotype Ukrainian women. This photo below of a Ukrainian mother taking her daughter to the train station to meet her grandparents who are leaving for Poland while she stays to fight should tell you something about Ukrainian women.

RT by @StevensHelga: Russia can no longer achieve its goals in Ukraine - NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg
"President Putin has lost Ukraine forever. This is a major strategic defeat for Russia," the secretary-general said in an interview with dpa.
The head of the alliance also recalled the price that Russia has to pay for the war: it has already lost hundreds of airplanes, thousands of tanks and hundreds of thousands of soldiers killed and wounded, inflation has risen and living standards have fallen because of the war.
