Re @thisisconcrete @Hanson_UK @Hub4com Two problems. One, global concrete use is increasing. Two, I'd question your 53% figure, even if accurate that leaves 47% of an immense C02 emissions figure. Consequently I don't think you are disputing the fact that concrete remains responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions? t.co/ZHkq8TpcAz

Re @pholmgren And in turn the wood, still storing carbon but now in the built environment, can generate carbon offsets. Much easier to monitor & avoid greenwashing if it’s European wood in European buildings. They’ve done it in the USA, time to do it in Europe.

You don't get more conservative (small c) than the Church of England's pension board. That the fossil fuel firms concerned failed (did they try?) to convince the CofE they were trying to meet the 1.5C Paris Agreement goal is clear evidence of their complicity in climate breakdown t.co/emaocjeTrP

In the UK we lit up the White Cliffs of Dover and Tate Modern to encourage more climate conversations about the risks we face, the choices we can make and the actions we can take.
