As part of the exceptional macro-financial assistance of up to EUR 9 billion proposed by the Commission for 2022, EUR 1 billion was disbursed on 1 and 2 August.

We need swift approval of the outstanding EUR 8 billion to allow disbursement without delay.

2nd day of #Gymnich: As Russia’s aggression against Ukraine continues, a political decision was reached between Member States to suspend the Visa Facilitation Agreement w/ Russia. Based on this decision European Commission will prepare necessary proposals & guidance to Council.

Deeply saddened & shocked by the sudden death of Colonel Csongor Horváth, who served in command of KFOR mission. Europe, Hungary & KFOR lost a brave, good man. My sincere condolences to family, fellow soldiers & all those who loved and respected him. May his soul rest in peace!

I welcome the agreement on free movement between #Kosovo and #Serbia and I sincerely hope this signals a new era of real progress in the dialogue, based on mutual agreements and implementation.
