Totally agree with this. The Jewish Community speaks with many voices on this issue and the fact that the Board President appears to be a Starmer supporter should not influence the Board’s representations.
RT @JewishChron: The attack on Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman’s Illegal Migration legislation yesterday in the name of the @BoardofDeputies President, Marie van Der Zyl, cannot pass without challenge, writes Lord Stuart Polak

Both men made comments comparing a current day challenge to Nazi Germany.

The one on the right lost his job as a consequence.

The one on the left probably won’t.

Why does the left get away with it?

Today it’s reported Sunak intends to remove Permanent Secretary Simon Case.

When @trussliz was planning to do this and there was uproar and she was pressured into reversing.

Happy Purim to my Jewish friends.

Purim is the one Jewish festival where it’s customary to get so drunk we cannot identify between the person, Haman, who tried to destroy us 2500 years ago, and our saviour, Mordechai.

We also do ‘fancy dress’ and eat hamantaschen biscuits.

Starmer is looking extremely shifty here.

Can’t look into the camera.

Fidgeting.

It was a very simple question which deserved a simple answer.

Starmer has screwed up big time here.

RT @peteratcmc: Keir Starmer refuses to say multiple times when he first spoke to Sue Gray about a job.
We need basic answers to basic questions from somebody who wants to be Prime Minister.

In light of the WhatsApp leaks and the knowledge that many of the lockdown provisions were nonsense, not following the science, and not about protecting the public (but protecting politicians reputations), should those fined for breaching rules be refunded and compensated?

The Times promoting wind power and claiming it now produces 25% of electricity.

This may be so, but electricity is only a small amount of total energy used - of which wind produces about 2%. Most homes are heated by gas.

Take away the subsidies and this would be much lower.

What a phenomenal interview. Gripped throughout.

The two things that ⁦@trussliz⁩ was most heavily criticised for were a rise in interest rates & a hit to the public purse from energy support.

Thursday, the BoE said they may need to increased interest rates further.

Yesterday Hunt says he’ll extend energy guarantee. 🙄

Only need to see the headline here.

Windfarms can only operate with taxpayer subsidy.

Whoever says wind power is the cheapest form of energy is wrong.

We need to frack!

@Iromg with everything we now know about Covid policy making (and knew all along) - you could quite easily cut and paste “Covid” with “Net Zero”

Hope @IsabelOakeshott will uncover that policy scam too.

Please can you now leak the WhatsApp’s on NetZero. Equally if not more damaging policy.

“More interest rate rises may be needed to tame inflation” say Bank of England.

What??

Surely not - not under Sunak?

It’s only ⁦@trussliz⁩ that caused interest rates to rise.

How can this be?

Whenever selling an investment it’s important not only to highlight the opportunities but also the risks.

The problem with Rishi Sunak’s Windsor deal is that he’s oversold the positives, remained silent on the risks and now they are unravelling.

This is poor salesmanship.
