Good meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov yesterday evening. We had an open & frank first exchange. We discussed our growing bilateral relations and cooperation in many different areas. We also exchanged on geopolitical and regional context, including Afghanistan.

Our trade imbalance and deficit is continuously getting bigger, which is unsustainable and needs to be addressed.

We need transparency, reciprocity, and a level playing field. Call it increasing strategic autonomy or de-risking, it comes down to the same thing.

At @NATO FM meeting, we welcome new member Finland. Now 22 of EU27 are members of the Alliance, bringing EU closer to NATO and making us stronger.
