As always, there was a phenomenal turnout by good people of Worcester for this year’s Remembrance Sunday service. Beautiful weather and surprisingly warm weather. I’m blessed to live in such a fantastic city.

We first met as candidates for Cheltenham at 2001 general election & saw him a few years ago at the Lords when we had a lovely chat & he introduced me to a friend, who just happened to be one of the Kinks! As a former Mod, I was most impressed #RIP Nigel.

Not surprised by his Green Party credentials, what with their manifesto pledge to abolish the Monarchy. Must be somewhat of a dilemma for Worcester’s deputy mayor to decide whether he’ll accept next year’s Mayoralty during a coronation year, if protocol is followed & he’s elected

The priority & moral obligation must be the Chagossian community. I worry that Chinese influence over Mauritius could possibly lead to future stalemate in this strategically important area. Resettlement under a British flag is a sensible option. @ChagosUK

Hallowe’en greetings to all past ranks, London Scottish Regt. 108 years ago tonight, we held the line at Messines & became the first fighting Territorial infantry regt. of #WW1, at a terrible cost. Of the 700 men who fought, just 306 mustered the following morning - ‘Strike Sure’

I well remember Martine chairing two European Parliament sponsored debates that I took part in, back in the days, during my term of office as a UKIP MEP. She was always evenhanded, neutral & overwhelming respectful of everyone’s point of view.
