Final reminder to those in or near Waterford today! Mazin Qumsiyeh will be speaking in St. Patrick's Gateway at 7.30pm.

As Waterford twins with Ramallah, this is an excellent opportunity to hear from the ground what is happening in the region.

Tickets free, no reg required.

@Irishwildlife @greenparty_ie @GreensEFA It seems after the regional elections in the Netherlands, conservative parties are running scared from legislation desperately needed to confront the collapse of biodiversity.

Outings were organised and English language classes scheduled - now attended by many other members of community who had been living there for years.

This is the Ireland I know and love and the people of Fermoy should be proud of this strong example they have set.

Met with community groups and activists in the North Cork town of Fermoy yesterday.

Particularly inspired by the group Fermoy 4 All - a group of locals who came together to welcome new residents, changing the narrative and being proactive in their integration.

Tonight I speak with Jutta about the possibilities of the NRL - this can be a very positive thing for Ireland and rural communities. Abbeyleix has shown this - and its disappointing to see misinformation being spread about it.

Negotiations continue in the coming months in the EP

The NRL is needed to ensure we have a healthy future for humans, and a reverse of biodiversity collapse for plants and animals

It will ensure food security and sustainable, viable farming, and will work alongside other aspects of the EU Green Deal and our climate goals.

A fascinating morning spent in @abbeyleixbog , a fantastic example of community-involved rewetting and rewilding.

Showing my @GreensEFA colleague @juttapaulusrlp this site as she negotiates the Nature Restoration Law.

Thanks @pippa_hackett for organising!

Unfortunately there has been some backsliding on LGBTQI+ freedoms in Poland and Hungary and more recently in Italy and the US. This is not a 1 way street - the fight for rights will always continue.

That happens politically in places like the EP, but also personally

It's International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia.

Society has really progressed in recent years, and I love seeing initiatives like Rainbow Crosswalks in Waterford and a full LGBTI+ Awareness week in Cork this week.

But we can do more - in Ireland and abroad.

Fairness for Irish coastal communities is long overdue.

The Commission must address post-Brexit quota loss and a cheque just doesn’t cut it.
