R to @Frontex: 📊 The Western African route recorded over 32 400 irregular crossings, a record number since we began keeping track in 2009.
🔽 In November, there was a 25% decrease in irregular border crossings compared to last year.
🚢 The Central Mediterranean remains the busiest route in 2023, with more than 152 200 detections, the highest for this period since 2016.
📉 The Western Balkan route saw a 28% drop in irregular crossings in Jan-Nov, with a total of 98 600 detections.
