Solidarity with @AFAF_freespeech on this. These academics who betray academic freedom are shameful & worryingly seem unaware of core purpose of universities. What's more, as @GoodwinMJ points out, they're cowards; trying to get other academics cancelled from safety of anonymity

During the Archbishop of Canterbury's debate on morality of refugee policy, I tackled the small boats issue. I focused on the double standards and demonisation of anyone raising problems as lacking generosity. Whatever your position on immigration, we need to openly debate it.

I made a final short plea for transparency in research funding to ensure no interference in academic freedom. Not just Big Corporates, but Big Charity too - AND we should be wary of ideological capture of government research councils as well…
