This is so shocking re @ace_national treatment of one of its senior staff. As so predicatble these days, it's trans ideology at heart of the scandal. Solidarity with @DeniseFahmy

It's thanks to @omarloubak & many young people like him, that those on campus who claim offence to censor, are shown up as bullies. Luckily, initiatives like @LivingFreedomUK & @speechchampions are a source of solidarity & resistance. And @RoyalHolloway - Omar's a credit to you
RT @GoodwinMJ: This is Omar. He walked out of his university debating society @ Royal Holloway when it disinvited @Fox_Claire & the uni caved. "What's the point of a debating society whic…

Excellent summary of madness of so many councils' eco-travel plans, charging car-drivers, etc, and irony that it can be so strident it can mean cutting down trees, upsetting other environmental supporters. See Rod Liddle gives @Togetherdec a shout-out
RT @BrynHarris6: 'What I fear we are seeing is the revenge of the second rate.'
Well, quite. There's been a lot of that about the past seven years.

This is spot on. Fashionably promiscuous use of branding a wide range of opinions/indivs/orgs as Nazis not only relativises the horrors of the Holcaust, it also gives some people a righteous excuse to treat those labelled fascists with aggression, even violence. Dangerous trend.

This week in the Lords, I asked: who cares whether public or private bodies supply prison education? As long as someone does... And can we not simply confine this to basic literacy. Projects like @DebatingMatters Beyond Bars show the exciting things that can be done.

He is spot on, on the dangers of banning books. Censorship is ugly and dangerous whether it comes from the left or the right
RT @RepRaskin: I’m joining parents, students, librarians and teachers to oppose the GOP's MAGA federal power grab over local schools, a phony "Parents' Bill of Rights" designed to extend their rampant book banning and suppression of history.

I explained why clean-air zones like ULEZ (but also LTNs) are often anti-democratic and imposed despite public opposition or inconvenience. They are also often a stealth tax. The evidence on, for example, air quality or car congestion, is too often dodgy, or at least contested.
