@FlashForFreedom Appreciated
@HarryScoffin @bbcquestiontime Ooh didn't know that about #bbcqt
RT @samstreetwrites: In 🇫🇷France's Parliament, right-wing leader Marine Le Pen and left-wing leader Jean-Luc Melenchon's parties teamed up to prevent Macron introducing a health pass to travel from Mainland France to Corsica and the Overseas Territories.
RT @HarryScoffin: “The leadership candidates seem to treat the younger generations as though they are the feckless, irresponsible ones, obsessed by pronouns and no-platforming, selfish and myopic, more interested in watching Love Island than Question Time.” It’ll backfire. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/2e7e9572-021e-11ed-aa15-45d37b45dc0d?shareToken=03674476f530b1aff4f167893246505a
@dr_shibley @KemiBadenoch Glad you have written this.
@SandraLouR14 Quite
@CharlotteCGill Agree (although lots of public not accepting & share your frustration).
RT @MorrisseyHelena: @thequentinletts And a very necessary blood transfusion! Continuity, steady as she goes, will not win the next election and many of those “square” MPs will no longer be MPs. @KemiBadenoch @conservatives
@RaymondDuck6 I'll take that. Cheers
@jksmith2128 Thanks.
@jackiehendo02 Good to hear
@RomyCerratti Will take a look. Cheers
@alicia_birds Thanks
@dyannpaget Thanks for encouragement
@teamsquarepeg @karin_haggerty Agree on that
RT @CharlotteCGill: If the Tories get this wrong, they are toast. They should also be thinking about the personality facing Keir Starmer in the House of Commons. Go for someone of a similar dynamic and they are also toast.
RT @CSaltroad1: This is a catastrophe on a national level that has been buried time and time again. This is why there should have been riots in the street. Not over some bloody statue.
I also offered a challenge to the utilitarian approach of career-related learning that is being widely pushed. There is real danger in implying that the main purpose of schooling is to get a job - instead of inspiring kids, it can encourage a philistine approach to knowledge.
@NaomiLWood Thanks.
There was some implication by movers of the amendment that schooling causes anxiety. Ironic as we do have evidence that a LACK of schooling during Lockdowns was definitely not good for kids psychologically...
