I have been selected as Rapporteur (chief negotiator) for the @europarl_en Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee opinion on the operation of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. This agreement has defined our trading relationship with our nearest neighbour since Brexit.

It is vital to take stock of what is working and what isn’t, both for citizens and businesses in Ireland, the EU, and the UK. We want a relationship that benefits everyone but must recognise that the full benefits of the EU membership cannot exist for 3rd countries outside the EU
