🚨 10 arrests for sexual exploitation in France, Spain & Portugal.

🚨 49 individuals across Europe arrested in major blow to eels trafficking.
Over 27.7k inspections were carried out across Europe during Operation Lake VI, leading to the seizure of 1,255 kilograms of glass eels, worth EUR 1.9 million.

This week Europol’s Innovation Lab stepped into the #metaverse!
🇪🇺 law enforcement authorities joined academics & the private sector for a virtual event exploring the challenges of policing digital alternate universes.
The outcome of the event will feed into a Europol report.
📍 Today Deputy Executive Director Operations Lecouffe welcomed a delegation of 🇺🇦 parliamentarians to our HQ.
The MPs were briefed on Europol’s support in the framework of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, particularly on terrorism, war crimes, organised crime & asset freezing.
Following a meeting in DC in May, Executive Director De Bolle welcomed 🇺🇸 @DOJCrimDiv Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Polite to Europol, where he was briefed by @EC3Europol on ransomware.
🇪🇺🇺🇸 We work closely with US judicial authorities in the fight against organised crime.
In her opening remarks, Executive Director De Bolle highlighted the importance of building a strong network of criminal analysts.

📍 This week Europol hosted the 3rd annual European Criminal Analysis Conference #EUCrimACon, together with @EU_CEPOL.
The hybrid event connected 500+ criminal analysts from over 40 countries to exchange best practices, share innovative solutions, and enhance future cooperation.
