In Surkhet , the @EUAmbNepal and ambassador of @finlandinnepal discussed with federal, provincial & local government officials in Karnali, the official launch of SUSWA, co-funded by the Government of Nepal, Finland and the European Union.

SUSWA, or Sustainable WASH for all, is a collaboration between the Government of Nepal, EU and Finland to ensure sustainable access to water, sanitation and hygiene for 42 rural municipalities in Karnali.

This programme is a continuation of @finlandinnepal’s long-term support for the WASH sector in Nepal, which started in 1989, over 30 years ago. SUSWA takes a human rights approach to WASH, a recognition of the fact that water, hygiene & sanitation are closely related to rights.
