@EU_Commission the best thing is if you do get unsolicited emails or phone calls all you need to find out is what their company is called & you can report them to the ICO, it is very quick & simple to do & I highly recommend doing it every single time, it's the only way to hold these companies to account for their sloppy data privacy practises...
