@EUHomeAffairs That fails to answer my question on which platforms were used. Where perpetrators use self-hosted platforms on the darknet, encrypted archives or decentralised P2P messenger services, these will certainly not implement detection requirements. Stop ignoring displacement effects.

@echo_pbreyer The offender was caught after 15 years of impunity and with a count of 13 victims. The youngest was 1 month old. With the new regulation in place, he could have been caught immediately.

@EUHomeAffairs This assumption is ridiculous. Stop ignoring obvious displacement effects. This offender was cunning. He used platforms where he could feel safe. If the proposed regulation comes into effect, these people will simply move to other platforms and services.
