Łódzkie Voivodeship — needs 102 years to completely remove asbestos. The current rate of #asbestos removal in the #EU is extremely unsatisfactory. This demonstrates the need for decisive action as well as a European strategy for asbestos removal. @HannaZdanowska @EU_CoR

It is necessary to remove the main reason for the slow rate of removal of #asbestos, which is subsidising only the dismantling and disposal of asbestos products (especially eternit roofs). New subsidy and incentive mechanisms (tax reliefs) should be introduced. @HannaZdanowska
