EPdelegation in to find out what the # ADM think abt agreement. Ready for 4 years, but 🇪🇺 has been unable to make the final arrangements. We still have a window of opportunity, but it's closing! Free trade w/these 4 LA countries would be a prime 🇪🇺interest.

EU should be united, economically and politically strong, abandon labelling its MSs and third countries, be quicker in concluding and focus on its own interests, not on other's.

Brussels started to listen only after the introduction of unilateral safeguard measures by four MSs (PL, HU, SK, BG). If UA cereals flooded the Westerns MSs instead, a solution would have been found immediately.

debate today on cereals flooding EU market. In my speech I stood up for our farmers: the COM bears huge responsibility that much of the cereals to Africa with serious food shortage has been stuck in MSs of the EU's Eastern borders.

Winemakers are the most committed to sustainable development. COM's approach, however, on labelling rules, pesticides &circular farming is a deathsentence to small family wineries.
27 MS regulations, 27 circular labelling, redemption & recycling obligations for even the smallest.

In order to meet these challanges we need balance between credible, predictable, sustainable debt reduction & the fiscal flexibility. It can only be achieved if the COM responds to these 5 dilemmas.

4️⃣ We should not overburden the   with new topics, as this would only lead to further debate and loss of scope.

5️⃣ The powers of the independent fiscal institutions differ, so their regulation at EU level should be treated with caution.

3️⃣ In this challenging times, a flexible fiscal policy can act as a buffer in case of disturbances in other sectors of the economy.strict medium-term fiscal-structural plans should not make this impossible.

2️⃣ It's unclear based on which factors the COM could propose  a/t a MS. Appropriate safeguards are needed to prevent abuse with the COM discretionary powers.
