#EU countries helped #NATO make a hell out of #Libya. Now the EU collaborates with acts of murder, torture and rape carried out there.

It pretends concern for human rights, but always elsewhere. Libya is always forgotten.

If hypocrisy had a name, it would be called "the EU."

There is another war in Europe, even if we don't call it that. 25,000 people dead or missing at sea in the last 8 years. 3,500 dead at the border. Countless more pushed back, beaten, raped and tortured.

I am also appalled to learn of the attack on Rushdie, but it must be pointed out that this is the UK Home Secretary who has journalist Julian #Assange held in max security prison, pursued by the United States for publishing evidence of Western war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
