Walney's report is dangerous, draconian and undemocratic. Masquerading as an independent report, it is an overtly political hit job on our most fundamental civil rights, including the right to protest and trial by jury. We cannot afford to underestimate how serious this threat is

Walney asked wouldn't his rules have made suffragettes, anti-apartheid or LGBTQ+ protestors extremists? Says it's different: suffragettes didn't have the vote. Because who needs right to protest when we can vote once every 5 years (under unrepresentative first past post system)?
