RT by @CarolineLucas: Busy day in the sun in Brighton. Spent the morning with one of our teams in Westdene being mugged by their very young and lively dogs and knocking on doors, then the afternoon delivering letters to people in Patcham. Campaign calves activated!

RT by @CarolineLucas: I have pledged to defend the as a Green MP, alongside my great >@BHGreens colleagues @Elaine4Kemptown and Sophie Broadbent for Hove.

We’re calling on the other parties’ candidates to do the same.

I asked
nitter.privacydev.net/UHSussex
to put a 2018 gastro issues report in the public domain & they refused. I've pushed for details of improvement plans for months. Frontline staff delivering care are incredible. Resistance to scrutiny stems from the top & needs to change

So looks like Sunak has messed up the one thing that could’ve been a genuinely positive legacy - action on 🚬 because he didn’t check the timings/procedures properly- the lack of planning skills not just limited to umbrellas then ☔️

Hi
nitter.privacydev.net/LordWaln
aka John Woodcock, wonder if you've seen this from Home Office Minister Tugendhat? Will you amend your "independent" report to include details of your lobbying links to companies that would benefit from curbs to protesting, including fossil fuel companies?

RT by @CarolineLucas: Pleased to be on BBC Radio Sussex this morning: "People in Brighton know that Greens have got local momentum, but also answers to the big national questions like the future of the NHS, and what we do about water and sewage, housing and the climate emergency."

Westminster may be gripped by election fever now, but in other news tomorrow Ofwat will be deciding if greedy & failing water companies can hike bills by up to 91%. I joined nearly 40 MPs across parties calling on Ofwat to reject their outrageous demand.

Sunak’s govt is hiding behind convention of not sharing legal advice to avoid even admitting whether the Attorney General advised PM about war crimes in Gaza – if war crimes aren’t a rare exception to the rule to keep legal advice secret – what would be under this immoral govt?

[2024-05-22 15:19 UTC]

Walney's report is dangerous, draconian and undemocratic. Masquerading as an independent report, it is an overtly political hit job on our most fundamental civil rights, including the right to protest and trial by jury. We cannot afford to underestimate how serious this threat is

[2024-05-22 13:48 UTC]

Last year, Southern Water released raw sewage into our waters for 317,285 hours, up 116% on the year before. Now they are asking Ofwat if they can put up our bills by a whopping 91% to pay for their failure? It's an outrage. What an absolute scam.
