RT by @CarolineLucas: The dangers of First Past the Post in the UK have been shown in the UK over the last ten years with the system enabling the last decade of chaos. The French were only able to avoid a far right government because they don’t have First Past the Post. Sir Keir Starmer should take heed of his party members’ support for proportional representation. @CarolineLucas The French also have a tradition of electoral and parliamentary alliances, which small parties like the Greens and the LibDems should probably consider.

@CarolineLucas There is a myth that Repulse would get far more seats than Lib Dems just because they got more votes. A good system doesn't work that way because it works on people's preferences so they may have got few second choices.
