@CarolineLucas Yes, should be in public hands. I know that water needs treatment, storage etc. but it falls from the sky. Thatcher, with utter cynicism, privatised water without, obviously, the possibility of competition, the only thing that's supposed to make businesses efficient. The results are dreadful, pollution and sewage tainting virtually all waters, but many people are making lots of money from water.
