Great to meet with @PrueLeith in Parliament to support @dignityindying. Over 200 million people worldwide have legal access to some form of safeguarded assisted dying - law reform here in the UK is long overdue, and the blanket ban must end.

@CarolineLucas Why would you prioritise and promote this when it is quite clear that we cannot trust any safeguards around how public policy in the UK affects disabled people? Eugenics holds sway in this country, and it's visible in everything from Covid policy to everything the DWP have done for the past decade and a half. I am so, so tired of not being able to trust progressive parties on this issue. It'd be a whole different thing if our lives were valued in the first place, but they aren't.
