The @europarl_en's bureau has approved our proposal to name our meeting room, PHS01A002, in the Parliament's #Brussels building after Witold #Pilecki.
Thanks to those who supported this initiative to honour the memory of a hero who fought so hard against tyranny in Europe.

Witold Pilecki was a leader of the Polish resistance against the Nazis and the author of the first spy report on the German concentration camp at Auschwitz.
After the war he fought against communist oppression, was arrested by Communists in 1947 and killed the following year.
