RT by @JanAlbrecht: 👀Sort of a political landslide is happening in Hungary - here's how to interpret the results:

🇪🇺Orbán's EU ambitions are dashed by his party's worst ever EP election result: compared to 2019, Fidesz-KDNP dropped from 52 to 44 percent, or from 13 to 11 seats. At the same time, Orbán/Fidesz's former political alliance, the @EPPGroup has gained in strength – there's still a lot of bad blood between them, and especially with the success of Donald Tusk's KO it's hard to imagine how the EU's next leadership would let Orbán among their ranks. Remember: the Hungarian Prime Minister was aiming for the EU's best result for his party (he got beaten by the governing parties in Romania and Malta) as well as talking about "conquering Brussels" with his far-right allies. Well, that's simply not going to happen.

What he achieved in such a short period of time is a clear indication that the Orbán regime is in a decline. Moreover, Magyar's success – who was an Orbán ally until the beginning of this year – may encourage other right-wingers to break away from Fidesz.

📉As polls suggested, TISZA's rise came at the expense of the extremely fragmented Hungarian opposition's already existing parties. Liberal @momentumhu dropped from 10 percent to 3,7 and lost both of its MEPs, while green/pirate @ketfarkukutya failed to meet the 5 percent threshold (3,6) despite polling around 7-9 percent at the beginning of this year (before Péter Magyar entered…
