The exchanges allowed to clarify that the new law will create business opportunities for legal and deforestation-free commodities on the EU market.

The EU will NOT ban any commodity from entering the EU market.

Her visit followed the political agreement on the EU’s upcoming Regulation on deforestation-free products. Ms Schomaker visited Malaysia to deepen dialogue on ensuring deforestation-free supply chains with a focus on rubber, palm oil, and timber.
