What is and what does diversifying our energy supplies mean?

How can we work together for for energy security and low prices?

Last year, Europe got 45% of its gas imports from Russia.

With the invasion of Ukraine, we simply cannot let this continue.

We have so far taken important steps to diversify away from Russian gas to reliable partners such as Norway, the US and other partners.

When one EU country is in trouble and short of energy, our solidarity agreements make it possible for others to help.

But now we want to do more. We want to purchase gas together.

By collecting our demand, we can get better prices instead of outbidding each other.
