🇪🇺 86 % intra-EU movements
🌍13.5 % exports outside the EU

In terms of duration, the majority of animal transport within the EU in 2017-2021 was comprised of:

◽️Short journeys (63 %)
◽️Long journeys (33 %)
◽️Very long journeys (4 %)

Poultry are usually transported on short journeys while horses tend to travel longer journeys.
