For him personally, and probably his friends who are either insulated against the consequences or actively betting on the negative impacts, Brexit probably is doing very well. He neither knows nor cares how the nation in whole or part is doing and would be genuinely puzzled that he should need to had he not learned that an occasional nod in that direction is electorally necessary.
